Mission: exam anxiety | Image: inner temple of knowledge
Ministers, a trial awaits — not of the soul, but of memory and attention. Yet the body reacts as if before a cosmic judgment. Our task is to turn this trial into a rite of passage, not a sentence.
Ministers: inner speech, self‑image.
Purpose: separate exam from identity.
Instructions: silently repeat: "This is not a verdict on who I am. This is feedback on what I know today." Write this phrase at the top of the draft sheet before you begin.
Ministers: breath, posture, senses.
Purpose: return from imagined catastrophes to the present moment.
Instructions: feel the weight of the body on the chair, feet on the floor, pen in hand. Inhale for 4 counts, exhale for 6. With each exhale, imagine releasing excess tension from shoulders and jaw.
Ministers: discipline, preparation.
Purpose: honour the path walked.
Instructions: shortly before the exam, list what you have already done: pages read, tasks solved, topics revised. This is your offering of effort – evidence that you have honoured the path, regardless of the result.
Ministers: attention, will.
Purpose: keep focus on the next small step.
Instructions: in the hall, serve one question at a time. Start with the easiest. Each completed question is a lit candle; do not stare at the whole cathedral at once.
Blessing: let this exam be not a thunderbolt from above, but a doorway. You have the right to try, to make mistakes, to learn. Calm is born not from guarantees, but from trust in your own path.
